Restoration Day was an annual holiday in the New Republic. It marked the anniversary of the dissolution of the Provisional Council and the establishment of the New Republic Senate on Coruscant in 5 ABY (thus having "restored" the principles of the Old Republic), an event which itself was an immense spectacle.
